Manpower Cyprus on behalf of our client, a forward-thinking investment holding group operating across real estate, agriculture, trading, and information technology sectors, is seeking to recruit an Accountant.
The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, supporting reporting and compliance requirements, and providing meaningful financial analysis to assist in strategic decision-making across diverse business activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain full bookkeeping and accounting records for a portfolio of group companies
- Manage and review complex accounting transactions, including adjustments and reclassifications
- Prepare and submit VAT and VIES returns in accordance with local requirements
- Support internal and external audit processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance
- Ensure adherence to IFRS standards and Cyprus Tax Department regulations
- Liaise with external auditors and tax authorities when required
- Perform financial and ad hoc data analysis to support management reporting and decision-making
Requirements
- ACCA/ACA qualified
- University degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related field
- Minimum 2+ years of relevant experience in accounting or audit
- Strong understanding of financial reporting and complex accounting treatments
- Knowledge of VAT and Cyprus tax legislation (advantage)
- Experience with accounting software (ESOFT knowledge considered an advantage)
- Excellent MS Office skills
- Excellent command of Greek and English (written and spoken)
