Manpower Cyprus, on behalf of a well-established organization in the Airports and Aviation sector, is seeking to recruit an Airfreight Operations Officer to join its operations team in Cyprus. The hiring company operates as an independent General Sales Agent (GSA) and General Cargo Sales and Service Agent (GCSSA), representing commercial and cargo airlines across Cyprus and Greece.
The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and managing the daily operations of the Airfreight Department, ensuring the efficient handling of import and export shipments, accurate invoicing, effective communication with airlines, overseas agents and warehouses, and the delivery of high-quality customer service.
This role contributes to operational efficiency, compliance with company procedures and industry regulations, and the continuous improvement of logistics processes, while supporting the company’s commercial and operational objectives.
Key Responsibilities

Supervise and coordinate the daily operations of the Airfreight Department.

Resolve operational issues related to import and export shipments.

Review and approve invoicing, billing and payment processes.

Monitor shipment progress and ensure timely execution of freight operations.

Support, guide and coordinate the daily activities of the operations team.

Maintain effective communication with customers, airlines, overseas agents, warehouses and other logistics partners.

Support business development activities and identify opportunities to strengthen customer relationships.

Ensure high levels of customer service and operational quality.

Monitor compliance with company procedures, aviation regulations and operational standards.

Prepare operational reports and monitor departmental KPIs.

Handle confidential business information with professionalism and discretion.

Identify opportunities to improve operational processes and workflow efficiency.
Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management or a related field.

2–3 years of experience in Airfreight, Freight Forwarding or Logistics Operations.

IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations (DGR) certification will be considered a strong advantage.

Good knowledge of Airfreight, Freight Forwarding and Logistics operations.

Experience with invoicing, shipment coordination and operational documentation.
