Commercial Manager

Manpower Cyprus, on behalf of our client a renewable energy utility company, we are seeking to recruit a Commercial Manager, to be based at our client’s premises in Nicosia, Cyprus.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible to build and maintain company’s commercial pipeline and market position in Cyprus by identifying new market opportunities, prospective clients and developing new products and services.

The ideal candidate will be:

  • Responsible for the generation of leads industry including PPAs, PDAs, and new products
  • Management of key clients and projects
  • Attendance at industry conferences for networking and market insights
  • Overseeing government relations for projects
  • Participation in high-level government meetings related to energy
  • Development and execution of BD plans
  • Collaboration with finance, legal, and technical teams for deal negotiation and closure
  • Production of reports and presentations for leadership team
  • Proactive outreach to potential clients for tailored energy solutions
  • Oversight of legal and finance departments during client evaluation
  • Review and delivery of commercial contracts and supporting documents
  • Recruitment, selection, and hiring of team members
  • Cultivation of teamwork and organizational culture
  • Representation of departmental interests to management
  • Performance feedback and recognition in collaboration with HR
  • Assistance with marketing and social media management aligned with commercial goals
  • Client identification and prioritization
  • Approval of price offers to potential clients
  • MWs/MVs signed annually (PPA & Supply)
  • Expansion of Generation and Supply customer base
  • Delivery of positive EBIDTA and financial statements
  • Contribution to strategic clarity and investment policy implementation

 

Skills and Qualifications:

  • University degree in Commerce, Engineering, Economics, Finance or in any other related field
  • MBA will be considered an advantage
  • 5+ years of experience in a relevant field
  • Understanding of Cypriot energy policy/laws and their business implications
  • Good knowledge of both conventional and renewable energy sectors
  • Understanding of electricity infrastructure and technologies
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel and other Microsoft office products
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills both in English and Greek
  • Be able to multitask, work efficiently under pressure in a fast paced environment
  • Strong leadership and problem solving skills
  • Be able to do site visits when necessary
