Join an established payments, banking, and financial services group in Nicosia, supporting a diverse global client base through a Cyprus-based all-in-one financial management platform. This Compliance Officer role offers broad exposure across AML/CTF, regulatory obligations, internal governance, and training, working closely with the Senior Management to help shape how compliance operates across the group.

 

Key responsibilities

  • Support AML/CTF activities across onboarding and lifecycle: CDD/EDD, KYC reviews, screening escalations, risk-based assessments, and ongoing/periodic reviews
  • Conduct AML and compliance monitoring, document outcomes, and track remedial actions to completion
  • Assist with regulatory reporting, notifications, and ongoing licence obligations
  • Contribute to internal audits, thematic reviews, and control testing; help strengthen the compliance monitoring plan
  • Draft, review, and maintain internal policies, procedures, and compliance documentation; recommend practical improvements
  • Prepare compliance reports and management information for senior stakeholders
  • Deliver and coordinate compliance/AML training for cross-functional teams, including onboarding and refreshers
  • Stay up to date with relevant regulatory developments (including MiFID, MiFIR, AML and related requirements) and support implementation across the business

Requirements

  • Experience in compliance and/or AML, ideally within financial services and/or online trading
  • Strong knowledge of CySEC requirements, AML/KYC frameworks, and relevant EU directives
  • Advanced CySEC Certificate and/or AML Certification (mandatory)
  • Degree in Law, Business, Finance, Risk, or a related field
  • Strong organisational, investigative, and communication skills; confidence to escalate and challenge appropriately
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
