Manpower Cyprus, on behalf of our client a leading technology company active in defence, security and smart governance, involved in EU‑funded research and innovation projects, is seeking to recruit a talented Computer Scientist to join their team in Larnaca.
The Role
As a member of the Research Team, you will participate in European and National research projects in the wider Computer Science field, contributing to the design and development of technical solutions and online platforms, as well as the day‑to‑day management of research activities. You will receive training, guidance and growth opportunities in a highly dynamic, international and technology‑driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop and maintain technical solutions, software components and online platforms.
- Update and evolve technical work based on agile requirements and feedback.
- Learn and adopt new technologies and frameworks quickly.
- Contribute to the preparation of technical documentation, scientific reports and project deliverables.
- Monitor and follow up project activities, timelines and milestones.
- Participate in project meetings, teleconferences, EU‑level working groups and platforms, representing the company's strategic interests.
Requirements
- University degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field.
- Postgraduate degree (MSc and/or PhD) will be considered an advantage.
- Solid understanding of software engineering principles and architecture design for new concepts and applications.
- Ability to lead or contribute to technical teams and manage multiple tasks in parallel.
- Familiarity with Artificial Intelligence and/or Machine Learning will be considered a strong plus.
- Knowledge of European funding programmes and ability to engage with partner organisations and funding bodies will be considered an advantage.
- Availability to travel abroad for partner meetings and events when required.

Employment Terms & Benefits
- Permanent role, with an initial 6‑month probation period.
- Annual gross salary: 26,000 – 32,500 EUR, depending on qualifications and experience.
- Annual salary policy with at least Cyprus official inflation adjustment, plus additional increases and bonuses based on KPIs and years of service.
- 13th salary.
- One free Friday per month and Summer Fridays (half‑day in August).
