Manpower Cyprus, on behalf of our client, a leading renewable energy group in Cyprus, is seeking an Electrical Technician to support the installation, maintenance, inspection, and technical performance of photovoltaic (PV) systems.

The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out and supervising electrical works, performing preventive and corrective maintenance, supporting technical inspections, and ensuring that PV installations meet the required technical and quality standards. The role requires a hands-on professional with strong technical knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Inspect the quality and compliance of works carried out on PV installations, ensuring adherence to technical specifications, approved designs, and company requirements.
  • Perform and supervise electrical works on PV systems, including DC/AC connections, inverters, electrical panels, earthing, and protection systems.
  • Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance of PV systems.
  • Support technical inspections and inspections by the Electricity Authority of Cyprus (EAC), where required.
  • Prepare technical reports, installation and inspection documentation, and other relevant technical records.
  • Report technical issues, faults, deviations, and required corrective actions in a timely manner.
  • Provide technical support for customer complaints and coordinate the implementation of corrective actions.
  • Coordinate with technical teams, subcontractors, suppliers, customers, and internal departments to ensure the smooth completion of works.
  • Comply with company Health & Safety, Quality, and Environmental Management procedures and applicable ISO standards.
  • Use the required personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow safe working procedures, particularly when working at height and on electrical installations.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will have practical experience in electrical installations and photovoltaic systems, combined with strong troubleshooting skills and a safety-conscious approach. The ability to work outdoors and at height, communicate effectively with customers and technical teams, and maintain high standards of workmanship will be essential for success in this role.

Required Qualifications

  • Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering or a relevant qualification from a technical school, technical college, university, or other recognised institution.
  • Valid Electrical Installer Licence or relevant certification from the Electrical & Mechanical Services (EMS).
  • At least 2 years of professional experience in photovoltaic installations.
  • Good knowledge of electrical drawings, single-line diagrams, and LV and MV electrical systems.
  • Ability to work outdoors and at height.
  • Good command of Greek and English.
  • Valid driving licence.

Preferred Qualifications

  • PV Systems Installer Certificate will be considered an additional advantage.
  • Previous experience with PV inverters, electrical panels, earthing, and protection systems.
  • Experience supporting EAC technical inspections.
  • Previous experience in renewable energy or electrical contracting environments.
