Manpower Cyprus, on behalf of our client, a global leader in the financial services industry, is seeking to recruit a Head of Quality Assurance to join their dynamic team in Larnaca (Marketing Department).
The ideal candidate will take charge of aligning and optimizing both manual and automation testing processes, ensuring seamless integration and success across our QA teams.
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
- Lead and develop QA teams to ensure the highest standards in software development.
- Shape and implement the QA strategy, methodologies, and frameworks.
- Unify manual and automation testing approaches to streamline testing processes.
- Drive improvements in automated testing and agile testing practices.
- Manage performance evaluations and mentor team members for continuous growth.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for QA teams and be the escalation point for all testing and quality assurance matters.
- Coordinate and prioritise testing activities across multiple projects or product releases.
- Actively participate in daily meetings to monitor and report on testing progress.
- Report on quality assurance activities to senior management.
- Establish and maintain quality metrics, performance indicators, and reporting mechanisms to monitor and improve quality outcomes.
- Identify opportunities for test automation and implement suitable frameworks and tools to increase testing efficiency.
- Oversee the hiring process to ensure the right talent for both manual and automation roles.
- Work closely with other department heads to ensure quality across the company.
Requirements:
- BSc or MSc degree in Information Technology or related field.
- 7+ years’ experience in Automation QA with at least 3 years in a leadership position.
- Strong understanding of QA principles, methodologies, tools and best practices.
- Proven success in transforming QA processes to improve efficiency and scalability.
- Background in product-focused environments, ideally in fintech.
- Experience in test automation tools and frameworks (e.g. Robot framework, Playwright).
- Hands-on experience in building test automation frameworks from scratch.
- Strong knowledge of the Page Object Model (POM) design pattern and its application in test frameworks.
- Experience with Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) practices.
- Experience with Test Case Management tools and their integration with CI/CD pipelines.
- Ability to leverage technology to optimise and automate QA processes.
Nice to have skills:
- ISTQB foundation level certification.
- Experienced with Docker and Kubernetes tech.
- Experience with performance and load testing frameworks.
- Proficiency in Python and SQL.
- Practical experience in Jenkins CI.
- EU/EFTA citizens OR holders of a Cyprus work permit OR foreign nationals married to an EU citizen.
