An excellent opportunity has arisen with a leading organisation operating in the financial, logistics and technology services sector. Manpower Cyprus on behalf of our client, we are seeking to recruit an HR Manager in Nicosia.

The successful candidate will work closely with the wider management team to develop and execute the full spectrum of Human Resources activities across the company. This includes shaping a comprehensive HR strategy and organising and implementing policies and procedures in line with the organisation’s objectives.

 

Main Duties & Responsibilities

  • Communicate the Company’s vision and values clearly, and strengthen employee motivation and engagement through targeted HR initiatives.
  • Prepare the annual HR budget, including areas such as learning and development, recruitment, and other people-related expenditure.
  • Oversee core HR operational processes, including payroll, medical insurance administration, and compensation planning.
  • Provide support on day-to-day HR matters across departments, including employee relations, employment issues, compensation and benefits, training and development, and retention.
  • Design, review, and maintain HR policies and procedures that support the corporate strategy, including the Employee Handbook, Remuneration and Reward Policy, Recruitment Policy, Succession Planning, and KPIs.
  • Facilitate the performance evaluation process effectively and consolidate annual results into structured reports to support top management decision-making.
  • Ensure the smooth onboarding of newly recruited employees, including HR system data entry and induction/orientation processes.
  • Monitor new hire turnover and retention rates and recommend appropriate actions where needed.
  • Align rewards and incentive practices with the wider corporate strategy.
  • Identify manpower needs and support workforce planning and sourcing activities.
  • Prepare HR reports with meaningful metrics and indicators for Top Management.
  • Ensure compliance with the applicable legal and regulatory framework, with particular focus on Cyprus employment law.
  • Oversee the overall administration and effective operation of the HR Department.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.

 

Requirements

  • University degree in Human Resources or a related field.
  • Master’s degree will be considered an advantage.
  • At least 8 years of professional experience in a senior HR role, including a minimum of 3 years as an HR Manager and/or HR Business Partner.
  • Very good knowledge of key HR processes, roles, and responsibilities across the full employee lifecycle.
  • Sound knowledge of Cyprus Employment Law.
  • Broad experience in the design and delivery of people initiatives, with proven ability to handle complex employee relations matters.
  • Excellent command of the Greek and English languages, both verbal and written, with strong communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • High level of discretion, reliability, and professionalism when handling confidential information.
  • Strong influencing skills, with the ability to motivate people and promote effective collaboration in line with business objectives.
  • Ability to build trusted working relationships at all levels of the organisation.
  • Commercially oriented and strategically minded, with a hands-on approach.
  • Ability to work under pressure, manage deadlines effectively, and remain solution-oriented and results-focused.
  • Applicants must have the legal right to live and work in Cyprus.
