Manpower Cyprus on behalf of our client a leading International Group we are seeking to recruit a high calibre professional for the position of Internal Auditor, to be based at our client’s offices in Nicosia.
The successful candidate will protect the Organizations assets, ensuring compliance with all internal procedures as well as local, EU Regulations and Cyprus Central Bank. He/She will provide an independent guarantee that the Organizations’ risk management processed are operating effectively.
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
- In cooperation with the CFO defines the internal audit scope and develops the annual audit plans
- Perform risk assessments on key business activities and use this information to guide what should be covered in audits
- Perform audits on implementation of business procedures and processes, identify potential gaps and suggest corrective measures
- Assess how well the business is complying to rules and regulations and inform management of any issues that need addressing
- Identify loopholes and recommend risk aversion measures and cost savings
- Obtain, analyse and evaluate accounting documentation, previous reports, data, flowcharts etc
- Reconciles documentation with actual accounting records and bookkeeping or assets to ascertain accuracy
- Prepare audit finding reports
Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/ Finance/ Economics or any other related field from a reputable University
- ACA Qualified
- At least four years’ experience in a similar Internal Auditor position
- Proven knowledge of auditing standards and procedures, National and EU laws, rules and regulations.
- Advanced computer skills on MS Office, accounting software and databases
- High attention to detail and excellent analytical skills
- Strong strategic, problem-solving, negotiation and interpersonal skills with the ability to work on cross-functional teams
- Excellent planning, organization and time management skills including the ability to support and prioritize multiple projects
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills (in English and Greek)
- Self-motivated with a results-driven approach
Remuneration:
