Manpower Cyprus on behalf of our client, a forward-thinking investment holding group operating across real estate, agriculture, trading, and information technology sectors, is seeking to recruit a Junior Accountant.
The Junior Accountant will support the accounting team in maintaining financial records and assisting with day-to-day accounting operations across a group of diverse companies operating in multiple sectors. Key Responsibilities
- Assist in maintaining accounting records for group companies
- Support the preparation of bookkeeping entries and reconciliations
- Assist in the preparation and submission of VAT and VIES returns
- Support audit processes and compliance procedures
- Assist in financial reporting and data analysis tasks
- Perform general accounting and administrative support duties as required
Requirements
- Partly qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA) or LCCI Higher (or equivalent qualification in Accounting/Finance)
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field would be considered an advantage
- 1–2 years of relevant accounting experience would be considered an advantage
- Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
- Knowledge of VAT and Cyprus tax regulations would be considered an advantage
- Familiarity with accounting software (ESOFT considered an advantage)
- Good MS Office skills
- Good communication skills in Greek and English
