Manpower Cyprus, on behalf of its client, wishes to hire a Junior Lawyer to join the Legal Department in Nicosia.
The successful candidate will support litigation matters through legal research, drafting of pleadings, preparation for court proceedings, and coordination with clients, ensuring accuracy, compliance with procedural rules, and timely case management.
Main Responsibilities
Legal Research & Drafting
- Conduct in-depth legal research to support case strategy.
- Prepare legal memoranda, case summaries, and legal opinions.
- Draft pleadings, applications, objections, written submissions, contracts, agreements, and professional correspondence, with emphasis on accuracy and proper legal substantiation.
Court Preparation & Case Management
- Assist in the full preparation of case files prior to hearings.
- Appear before Courts under the guidance and supervision of senior lawyers during proceedings and negotiations.
- Ensure all filings comply with court rules and deadlines (high level of deadline adherence).
- Organize and maintain up-to-date case files, effectively managing assigned workload.
Client Communication & Professional Standards
- Maintain professional written and verbal communication with clients.
- Respond to client inquiries in a timely manner in accordance with agreed timelines.
- Assist in preparing clients for hearings and meetings.
- Strict adherence to ethical rules and confidentiality obligations.
- Continuous development of litigation skills and readiness to undertake more complex cas
Requirements
- Law degree (LLB) and license to practice law in Cyprus.
- Previous experience in litigation will be considered an advantage.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
- Excellent command of Greek and English (written and spoken).
- Professionalism, attention to detail, and ability to work under supervision.
