Manpower Cyprus, on behalf of our client, an international leading provider of electromechanical services we are seeking to recruit an experienced Marine Electrical Engineer to join their team in Rotterdam, Netherlands (Relocation).
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
- Conduct maintenance, repair, and installation of Navigation and Radio Equipment, both on-board vessels and within the workshop setting
- Execute annual Radio Surveys and conduct Voyage Data Recorder Annual Performance Tests
- Undertake Gyrocompass overhauls as required
- Provide comprehensive reports upon the conclusion of each assignment
- Identify and report any observed hazards promptly
- Collaborate with the Operations Department to schedule services and installations effectively
- Foster cooperation with fellow Marine Engineers to maintain a seamless service flow
Qualifications & Skills:
- University Degree in Electrical, Electronic Engineering, or any other related field
- Previous experience in a similar position will be considered as an advantage
- Proficiency in installation, testing, and commissioning of Navigation and Communication systems or similar marine systems (e.g., automation, power management) is desirable
- Familiarity with marine systems, such as automatic steering systems, radar systems, electronic chart display, navigational aids, and satellite communication systems
- Ability and willingness to travel globally at short notice
- Readiness to work flexible hours or irregular shifts on-board vessels or in the workshop as needed
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English are essential
