Manpower Cyprus, on behalf of our client a renewable energy utility company, we are seeking to recruit a Project Engineer, to be based at our client’s premises in Nicosia, Cyprus.
Job Summary
The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing optimized solar energy solutions. This role manages projects from start to finish, ensuring high-quality, sustainable energy systems that align with company’s mission.
The ideal candidate will be:
- Prepare and present technical proposals, including cost estimates and ROI analysis
- Conduct feasibility studies and site assessments
- Ensure designs and installations comply with electrical codes and industry standards
- Oversee installations, ensuring safety, quality, and productivity
- Manage the technical and financial aspects of projects, including resource assessment
- Coordinate with suppliers, contractors, and internal teams for project execution
- Monitor progress, mitigate risks, and report regularly
- Supervise site acceptance tests and handle all communication with stakeholders
- Manage EPC contracts and maintain project documentation
- Ensure quality and safety standards
- Support ongoing improvement
- Assist in technical documentation and process development
Skills and Qualifications:
- University degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management or in any other related field
- 3+ years of experience in renewable energy engineering
- Previous experience in utility solar projects, distributed generation and / or supply of electricity will be considered an advantage
- Good knowledge of both conventional and renewable energy sectors
- Understanding of basic commercial contracts related knowledge
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Possess strong project management skills including budgeting, scheduling and resource allocation
- Advanced knowledge of Excel and other Microsoft office products
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills both in English and Greek
- Be able to do site visits when necessary
