Manpower Cyprus, on behalf of Cyprus’ largest Energy Group, is seeking to recruit an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to support the development and evaluation of Renewable Energy projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct market research to identify trends and opportunities in Renewable Energy projects
- Build and maintain professional relationships with prospective clients, external partners, suppliers, contractors, landowners, government authorities and local communities to support project delivery
- Evaluate Renewable Energy projects, taking into account technical, financial and town-planning considerations
- Organise and coordinate project development activities, including preparation of budgets, schedules and engineering design
- Prepare reports on the operation/performance of electrical, electronic, photovoltaic and energy storage systems
- Provide on-site presence and technical support during EAC (Electricity Authority of Cyprus) inspections/audits
- Liaise with, supervise and coordinate subcontractors, partners and suppliers
- Provide guidance and technical support to subcontractors on site
- Assess and optimise utilisation of available equipment to achieve best operational and financial performance
- Prepare electrical engineering studies/design documentation (as required for the Electrical Engineer role)
- Prepare feasibility studies
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and policies relating to Renewable Energy
- Carry out financial analysis (cost–benefit analyses), assess project viability, forecast revenues and support ROI evaluations
- Monitor and coordinate execution of projects and works in cooperation with the line manager
- Perform quality control of works and prepare relevant quality reports
- Follow all required procedures and complete relevant documentation supporting quality assurance, Occupational Health & Safety and environmental management in accordance with ISO 9001, ISO 45001 and ISO 14001, and applicable legislation
- Undertake any other duties assigned in line with the Group’s procedures relevant to the role
Requirements
- Degree (ATI/TEI/University) or other recognised equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering/Electrical discipline
- Minimum of three (3) years’ relevant professional experience in a similar position
- Valid practising licence from ETEK
- Registration with the Register of Electromechanical Services (HMY) as an Electrical Engineer
- Excellent command of Greek and very good command of English
- Experience with construction project management and cost-estimation software (e.g., MS Project, BIM)
