Manpower Cyprus, on behalf of our valued client—one of the world’s leading pharmaceutical companies is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior HR Administrator and Payroll expert. The successful candidate will be based in Cyprus and will provide also remote support for Malta, ensuring compliant, accurate, and confidential HR and payroll administration across both locations. The role reports to the Country People Partner and is offered through a renewable annual contract.

Key Responsibilities

Payroll Management

  • Partner with the external payroll provider to execute monthly payroll for Cyprus and Malta, ensuring full compliance with all relevant regulations.
  • Collate and validate accurate payroll data from employees and local entities.
  • Ensure timely processing of statutory contributions, including social insurance and income tax.
  • Prepare annual payroll declarations and statutory reports.
  • Address payroll-related requests and resolve employee queries in a timely manner.

HR Administration

  • Maintain up-to-date employee records and ensure integrity of HR systems.
  • Prepare and issue employment contracts, offer letters, and onboarding packages.
  • Manage leave records and coordinate all offboarding actions, including exit documentation and de-registration steps.
  • Support the administration of employee benefits and statutory filings.

Compliance and Legislation

  • Monitor and ensure strict adherence to Cyprus and Malta labour laws.
  • Track and promptly action legislative/regulatory changes, updating HR processes as required.
  • Process all mandatory government registrations and filings.
  • Consistently maintain the confidentiality and accuracy of sensitive documentation.

Systems and Reporting

  • Utilize HRIS systems efficiently; familiarity with Workday will be considered an advantage.
  • Generate HR and payroll reports in support of internal audits and management decisions.

Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is required.
  • Minimum 2 years of HR experience, with a strong track record in payroll administration.
  • In-depth understanding of Cyprus labour law; familiarity with Maltese labour framework is an asset.
  • Proficient with HRIS platforms; previous Workday experience preferred.
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated integrity, confidentiality, and adaptability in a dynamic business setting.
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken); Greek language skills will be advantageous.
