Manpower Cyprus, on behalf of a leading multinational telecommunications client is currently recruiting for full time System Engineer to join their qualified, highly trained and experienced on site team in Nicosia.
Key responsibilities
- Configure, optimize, and maintain the platform to ensure high performance and security
- Design low-level and high-level diagrams based on solution requirements
- Install, update, and maintain software applications of the platform
- Perform infrastructure equipment integration and commissioning
- Monitor platform and applications for performance, security, and availability issues
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and deploy software solutions
- Troubleshoot and resolve platform, server, and software issues promptly
- Support delivery of new projects, implementation of new solutions in customer networks, functionality testing, and acceptance
- Build and maintain strong communication with customers and participate in internal and external technical meetings
Education
- Degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Computer Engineering, or other ICT-related fields
Requirements
- Self-motivated with a strong self-learning mindset, passionate about learning edge-of-technology product solutions, and willing to grow in a multicultural environment
- Strong sense of responsibility, good organization skills, attention to detail, and focus on quality delivery
- Excellent oral and written Greek and English communication skills (Chinese is considered a plus)
- Familiar with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.)
- Good knowledge of SuSe Linux (or related distributions)
- Good knowledge of databases; GaussDB knowledge will be considered an advantage
- Strong collaboration and communication skills
- 2+ years of experience in system engineering or in an IT role will be considered a plus
